Recycle, a small word with a big meaning

You CAN make a difference

Everybody can help. But it takes us all.

Today I met with one of my friends and we chatted about recycling. We made flyers last month and today we photo-copied the flyers on to recycled paper. I was very angry to find out that most of the paper sold is not recycled, and I think that this is very upsetting. I don’t understand why people care so much more about saving money than about saving the trees. You can ruin the natural beauty of the earth, just like you can lose money. We are constantly getting rid of the beautiful sites in nature, piece by piece.

We are cutting down trees to make paper, but once we use this valuable paper, we go on and throw it out without thinking. It took a lot of natural resources to make just one sheet of paper, so we should be recycling them as much as we can. Once we throw it out, it goes into a landfill and can never be used again. When we recycle it, the paper goes to a factory and is made into new, clean, recycled paper. When I went on to the Staples website, I was surprised to see that they only have a few cases of recycled paper, but many of non-recycled paper.

Instead of buying the non-recycled paper for a little bit less,  pay the price to help save the environment. Thanks!

P.S.-If you don’t believe me, try it. www.Staples.com
